Clean and Disinfection Service

The clean and disinfection of water systems is an essential maintenance procedure in the requirements of the ACOP L8 guidelines for the prevention of Legionellosis, also the effectiveness of a water treatment regime such as a corrosion inhibitors and biocides when used in cooling towers is strongly influenced by the cleanliness of the system.

Hot and cold water services and other systems that may create a risk from Legionella require regular cleaning and disinfecting to ensure hygiene is maintained.

All safety measures should include maintaining the cleanliness of the systems and the water in it and, as part of the overall water treatment programme, jointly with the manual and chemical cleaning and disinfection of water systems.
